Stonewall Sports 2021 National Tournament - Tennis

Registration: Sunday, June 20th at 12:00pm ET - Saturday, July 31st at 11:59pm ET

Format: Two Day Tournament

• Single Elimination Tournament with consolation.
• Saturday, September 18: 8am - 6pm (tentative)
• Sunday, September 19: 8am - 5pm (tentative)
• Players will have matches at any time during the two days. Match times will be announced prior to each day of the tournament.

Rules: The tournament will be played according to USTA rules, unless superseded by GLTA rules. This includes USTA's 15 minute default time. Warm-up time will be limited to 5 minutes. Main draw matches will be best two of three sets with a 10 point super tie break in place of the third set. Consolation matches will be an 8 game pro set. Consolation final will be the same format as the main draw matches.

Players:

• Each singles draw will have a maximum of 16 players. Each doubles draw will have a maximum of 16 teams.
• Team substitutions (for doubles), or refunds will only be allowed until Wednesday, August 4th. After August 4th, no changes OR refunds will be allowed unless cleared by the Tournament leadership and t-shirt size changes are not guaranteed.

Divisions:

• Players are divided into levels: Open-Very Advanced, A-Advanced, B-High Intermediate, C-Low Intermediate, D-Novice.
• These levels correspond to GLTA ratings. Players will have the option to select singles and/or doubles. If a doubles partner is not requested, one will be assigned.
• Divisions may be adjusted based on registration.

NTRP / USTA Rating to GLTA Rating System Equivalents

• Open: Highly advanced players (NTRP 5.0+)
• A: Advanced players (NTRP 4.5)
• B: High intermediate players (NTRP 3.5 - 4.0)
• C: Intermediate players (NTRP 3.0)
• D: Beginning players (NTRP <3.0)

Cost: $45 per player (plus $2 processing fee). Includes t-shirt, awards, water, food and drink specials, and access to all social events.

Transportation: Transportation from the host hotel to the venue and back will be available for players Saturday and Sunday. More details will be made available after registration is closed.

All details outlined above are subject to change at the Tournament Leadership's discretion. All questions and issues should be brought to the Sports managers to be resolved. Player conduct and game integrity is core to providing a positive experience for all. Tournament Leadership will have the express right to remove or ban a player without refund for violations of our player conduct policy.
