Team sports registration and registration for the Dodgeball Showcase and Kickball Remix games have ended. You may still register for a weekend events pass. Learn more about the weekend’s events and register for an events pass.
Format: Two-Day Tournament
Day 1 Structure:
Pool Play! Each team will play 4 games. They will Ref 2 games and Rest 2 games. More to come in Captain/Ref meetings.
All points scored during pool play will be calculated to seed: Highest - Lowest
Day 2 Structure:
16 Teams Single Elimination Bracket
Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (tentative)
Players will have matches at any time during the two days. Match times will be announced prior to each day of the tournament.
Sand Volleyball will be co-mingling all levels of talent (from rec. to competitive).
Rules:
Win by 2
Rally Points-Point play: Point is awarded each serve
Ball must clear the net
Max of 3 contacts per side
No player can hit the ball twice is succession
The net is off limits
Contact
Hitting any part of the body is a valid contact (i.e: head, feet, etc)
Settings
Cannot be caught
Cannot be thrown
Setting the ball can legally cross the net if the setter's shoulders are front/back to the net
Jousting
When two (2) opposing players make contact with the ball at the same time, after the joust the team is entitled to three (3) hits as long as it's in play
If the ball goes out of play, it will be considered to be the fault of the opposing team.
Entering opponents playing area:
As long as it does not interfere with opponents play, keep going. If it does, the point awarded to the other team who was interrupted in play.

All details outlined above are subject to change at the Tournament Leadership's discretion. Captains will be expected to be the main communication channel for their players. All questions and issues should be brought to the Sports managers to be resolved. Player conduct and game integrity is core to providing a positive experience for all. Tournament Leadership will have the express right to remove or ban a player without refund for violations of our player conduct policy.
